Writing today to change tomorrow

About Me
There is nothing like growing up as the only child of missionaries to feed one’s imagination. From the moment I first moved overseas at the age of four, the characters in my head became some of my closest companions, and by the time I hit high school, my love of make-believe had grown to a passion for storytelling.
Now, as a Creative Writing and Screenwriting double major, I am striving to make that passion a reality. Thanks to a full-tuition scholarship to Asbury University, I have been able to fully throw myself into countless creative projects and opportunities, from writing novels, short films, and feature film screenplays to taking part in an online screenwriting internship with Angel Studios. Though I have no idea what God might have in store, I am so grateful for all of his guidance thus far and excited to pursue His calling through the rest of college and beyond.
How would you describe your own writing?Character-driven. No matter the plot, genre, or tone, there is nothing I love more than fully developing a character, throwing them into their world, and watching as they make the story their own (for better or worse).
What work experience do you have?
While a lot of my work experience has been writing focused – such as interning with Angel Studios, being Opinion Editor for the Asbury Collegian, and working as an English tutor – I’ve also gotten wonderful opportunities through my university’s Media Communications program, including freelancing with the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
What qualifies you as a writer?
Writing. Morning, noon, and night (and sometimes in the shower).
